Account & Data Deletion Request — Gurukul-TEAM (Amarpatan)

This page explains how to ask Gurukul Academy Higher Secondary School, Amarpatan to delete your Gurukul-TEAM (Amarpatan) app account and the personal data held in it. TEAM stands for Teachers and Employees Attendance Management. It is the same process described in section 8 of the school's Privacy Policy.

1. Who this applies to

• This page is for staff members of the school who have a login for the attendance app — teachers, class teachers, coordinators, the principal, the director and the school admin.
• Students and parents do not have app accounts. There is no account for them to delete. The Privacy Policy explains what student data the app holds (names, classes and house membership, used only to mark attendance) and why it is held.

2. How to request deletion

• Email gurukulamarpatan@gmail.com from the email address registered to your staff account, with the subject line Data deletion request. You do not have to give a reason, and you can ask in the same email what data is held about you.
• The school will confirm receipt and act within 30 days.

3. What is deleted, and what is not

• Deleted on request: the personal details held for you in the staff record — your name, email address, phone number (if you gave one) and your device identifier.
• Also deleted on request: your punch photographs and the locations recorded for your flagged punches. These expire on their own as well — see section 4 below.
• The login is disabled, not handed on: the account can no longer be used to log in, and nothing new is recorded against it. If you leave the school, the admin disables it in the same way.
• Not deleted, and why: your attendance and leave records are the school's payroll and statutory record, and the app has no facility to remove them — the school is required to retain them under Indian labour and education record-keeping norms.
• If you want such a record corrected, the school will review it and correct it if it is wrong.

4. What is deleted automatically anyway

• Punch photographs and flagged-punch locations are deleted automatically 90 days after they are recorded, by a scheduled job, whether or not anyone asks.
• This is the shortest window the school can keep and still let a disputed punch be reviewed within the same term.

5. If the school must keep your records

If you are a staff member and the school needs to keep your attendance or leave records, please speak to the school office. The school will answer your request in writing, saying so and giving the reason.
